My 1st story is about my recent trip in Europe with my crazy girlfriend, Ashley. It has been 10 years we have not seen each other. Time flies but we were able to meet here in Europe. Feeling great*
This trip is an unplanned and unexpected. She asked me and I said yes ! We planned everything for 2 months before the actual trip. Well, I did most of the work while she just follow the flow. Laughed* (I: Please do not get mad, Ashley) I have learnt a lot of planning and budgeting from this trip. Wish I could have unlimited cash flow. Feeling greedy* Laughed*
I have spent roughly 1K euro for this trip and for Ashley, she spent like nobody business. Laughed* I think she got a money tree at home. Winked*
#1 stop : Frankfurt, Germany
The weather was freaking hot and humid. It reminded me of my hometown. I thought we will have a good start for our trip but it seems impossible when 2 crazy girls were together. Laughed* Her phone was broken and we went around Frankfurt to find a service centre but failed. Ended up getting a new phone instead. I thought at least she will stop ignoring me for awhile but that won't happen. She started to convince me to make trade with her new Nokia phone and my Samsung S3. Well, lets just say we are Samsung fans after all. Laughed* I got think of upgrading my phone to S4. Should I ? Hmm...
Frankfurt is a nice huge city to visit. Shopping is a must to do and food hunting. We managed to take some photos in Frankfurt.
I and Ashley
We went to have dinner in traditional German restaurant and we never regret about it ! Let me tell you this. German pork knuckle dish is MUST to taste. It has juicy meat and crispy skin. Both of them just go so well on this dish. You will never find a better pork knuckle dish like here. I don't really like the apfelwein (cider) here but overall I'm satisfied. Feeling blissful*
#2 stop: Paris, France
We have arrived in Paris ! Bonjour everyone ! Ca va ? We took the ICE train from Frankfurt to Paris. During that time, we got shifted to many seats because we can't read french. Laughed* The tickets were confusing and complicated things. Lesson #1, learn french language before hand. The train was packed with people and luggage. In the end, we managed to get seats through out the journey. Winked*
When we arrived in Paris, we encountered another problem. Language barrier. Lesson #2, I really must learn french language. I hardly communicate with my friend, Sara. She can't speak English and I can't speak french. That's where Google Translate app came along. Feeling proud* It saved my life and it is so convenient to use. We ended up text-ing each other to meet up. Highly recommended for everyone. Thumbs up*
When we finally met, she offered us her apartment to ourselves and she will be staying at her boyfriend's house. She is one of my good friend and nice person even though we can't talk. Laughed* I love them so much. Merci beacoup !
The next day, we travelled back to childhood times that is to Disneyland ! Feeling hyper* I have never though that I could go to Disneyland and here I am. Disneyland is one of my purposes coming to Paris. Feeling satisfied*
After 3 hours waited, we managed to meet the big star in Disneyland. Mickey Mouse ! Feeling excited* Smiled* Too bad I can't meet Donald Duck. He is my favourite of all !
Opps ! I totally forgot about the Eiffel tower part. Laughed* During morning, we went to Eiffel tower. Well, what else do you want to see and do besides this ? Winked* Due to summer heat, we took crazy photos.
We were supposed to visit the Louvre Museum but we ended up waking up late. So we decided to take some photos outside the Museum. Again, we took so many crazy photos. I really enjoyed the moments with Ashley. It reminded me of my old times when we were young in school.
#3 stop: Brussels, Belgium
Daphne and I were very old buddies since we were young. Feeling old* We were food hunters, swimmers, classmates, girlfriends, tuition mates and etc. I knew David when we were in high school. He is so funny and a good friend of mine. Feels so good to meet them here. Hugs*
This is what we did when we have nothing to do in Brussels. After all the craziness, its time for us to hydrate ourselves with Belgium beers ! I fell in love with Belgium sweet beers. They taste so much better than those normal beers. Highly recommended*
We are proud to be MC girls because we learnt how to make our dreams come true. Go girls us !!! Feeling proud* A great big thank you to all the teachers who taught us well. We made it in EUROPE !!! Laughed*
This is what we did when we are out of photo ideas. Thanks to David who is a part timer human hanger and a great photographer. Laughed* Thumbs up*
Another highly recommended place to eat in Brussels. This is where you can taste traditional Belgium food. Many people kept telling us that this place is very good and it is true ! We were totally indulged with the food especially the Tiramisu. Feeling OMG*
On the next day, four of us went to a beautiful place called Brugge. We highly recommend everyone to come to this place. It is so beautiful and the best part is that Chocolates are everywhere ! Feeling chocoholic* Even if you don't eat chocolate, you have to buy them. Trust me, you can't stop the temptation. Laughed*
My friend, David fell in love with waffles and he can't stop eating them. It is true that Belgium waffles are the best to taste. We enjoyed them till no regrets. Eat first, exercise later is our new motto. Laughed*
#0 stop: Back again in Frankfurt, Germany
The last day was a superb hot day. Both of us were roasted. Thanks to my wisdom, I booked a no where hostel. Feeling sarcastic to myself* We had to walk a long distance to get there and suddenly, an angel came to the rescue. Feeling saved* We were not sure if he is a German or Italian but he is so cute ! Ashley kept saying his eyes are ladies killer but I didn't realise it because he was wearing a sunglasses. At least I get to talk to him. Feeling satisfied* I booked this hostel is because they offered a good environment to stay. There have air conditioner in the room ! Feeling good*
After that, we went for one last time shopping in Frankfurt. It was supposed to be Ashley's shopping moment but it turns out mine. Laughed* We had a good evening at the Italy festival near the shopping area. We met some Italians and they kept insist on telling us to visit Italy. Feeling tempted* We will go next time... Smiled*
With Love,
J & A
